Los Jalapenos serves fine Mexican food at its location on Chestnut Street in New Paltz.

“Ever since I came to this country, it was my dream to have my own business,” says chef and owner Max Ruiz. “I have a nine-year-old boy and a two-year-old daughter, now, and so that’s something that I want to do, not too much for me, but for them. And I think New Paltz is the perfect area to open a place. All the dishes are special to me, because that’s what I love cooking. It’s the type of food that I really enjoy and I’m just doing my best so I can give all my best to the New Paltz people.”

Los Jalapenos serves all of your favorite dishes, but Max says he enjoys creating dinner specials, playing with new ideas and putting together unusual combinations to create very special meals.
